we were recently visited by the utah migs (and DC-ish bens). it was so fun to see everyone and catch up. and though, we’re sad they’re gone, we’re glad for the break from the flood that came with them. haha. literally, every day we had to put on our thinking caps and figure out ways to suffer through or get around the pouring rain that threatened our “well-planned” time together.
our first adventure while they were here started out with a bang. a bang in the pouring rain. stone mountain is a must for guests – especially with memorial day entertainment and fireworks… unless, it happens to be pouring NON-STOP for the 5 hours you are sitting uncovered under the open sky. i think no picture of some of our clan could do more justice than this:

clark got his first big boy haircut! and did such a good job! here are the before and afters…

next we have zache’ doing his thing…

followed by zache’ getting more in touch with his feminine side. “raspberry gingerale is for girls.” – ty

he was really consumed with them. so sad.

the ones poor angie, zach, and i married. also – so sad.

clarkie enjoyed hims tractor smash cake. and showing off his battle wounds.

while uncle zach loved on the raspberry gingerale, uncle katie loved on the little boys.

we had a ton of fun! and wish everyone lived closer!!

dear sil angie convinced me that making signs was easy enough and since i had cheap and easy access to vinyl (thank you hubby) i should do it for some side income!
it definitely is a creative outlet for me and i LOVE doing it. we’re still in the testing phase, but here’s what we have so far! (from the first one to the most recent one… i think they’re getting better as we go!)

though ty won’t be home til tomorrow night (can’t wait! can’t wait!) here are some complimentary photos to the previous post, of dad and riott… from riott.
i found dad. or he found me. i love my daddy. he is my favorite. he loves to play with me and teach me new stuff all the time.
he likes when i find things and give them to him (like trash, bugs, chewed up food, etc.)
he likes when i sit on him and he gets to blow bubbles in my face.
he loves to be the background in my pictures.
he likes to carry me around when i’m clingy or tired.
and he always likes to share his food with me.
he loves to give me candy and chocolate and cookies and ice cream and popcorn.
he loves to hang out with me in the “bbrrr” in the 90 degree heat.
he always lets me fall asleep on him.
and he loves to steal my corn-eating spotlight.
i love my dad. the end.

in honor of tyler’s 6 day get-away to utah to help uncle devin in moab, riott decided to post some pictures about how he feels when left behind. here’s what he has to say…
have you seen my dad? do you know where he is?
fine. i will look for him by myself.
i don’t like it when my dad leaves because…
… i have no one to ride in the truck with.
… i have no one to play ball in the rain with.
and no one to pick me up when i fall in the puddle.
…i have no one to ride the “bbbbrrr” (mower) with.
…i have no one to eat corn with.
i just wish he’d come back.
is he in here!?
dad! just come home!
well, if you hear from him, tell him i said “come home and i’m mad!”

if you haven’t heard the good news yet, the georgiamig’s are expecting! again! #2 is on the way and due to make an entrance on October 11th. we are NOT finding out the sex this time (i didn’t want to last time but ty is well, a pansy) though i’m pretty positive it’s… another BOY. just my instinct. we’ll see how close it is to reality soon enough. we are also taking any and all boy name suggestions you may have b/c boy names are HARD (we already have about 5 girl names picked and ready to go)! here’s miggy’s very first picture…

look at our little one! this ultrasound shot was taken at about 12 weeks (one week earlier than riott’s first ultrasound) which was about 3 weeks ago. there is already a H-U-G-E difference between miglet and miggy. at 13 weeks riott was at the circus for his ultrasound – jumping, kicking, making loop-de-loops. miggy, as you can tell, is perfectly fine just lounging around. before even seeing this i was thinking miggy is going to be a lot more laid back and more happy-go-lucky than riott is. he/she was just chillin’ and would occasionally launch a hand forward to grab the umbilical cord. he/she kicked a couple of times, but mainly just snuggled in as low down as possible – and relaxed. and all of this was after a *COKE*! whoa. yeah. i know.
so exciting is the process of watching a human develop in your tummy. and how amazing is it that our God knits us together… quite quickly. only 24.5 weeks to go…

we had a couple of fun photo shoots before riott got his hair cut.
1st he wanted to show you what a big boy he is brushing his “teese”
yes. riott uses a pink tooth brush – sometimes… sometimes a blue one and sometimes a yellow one.
riott also wanted to tell clarky that he too, can use a straw!
and finally, riott wants you to know that he likes to wear dad’s underwear (boxers) on his head.
yes, dad’s boxers were CLEAN!
happy day.

yes ladies and gentlemen, both of my boys got their hair cut. and not only cut, chopped. riott got his very first professional cut and ty got, well, the buzzer and the peanut by me.
here’s the proof…
before:

the boys with long hair
after:

dad's cut

riott's new hair - all boy!
let the record show – mom was not thrilled about either of these cuts, but thinks her boys look so handsom with their new hair.

riott has had so much fun in the spring weather! the last couple weeks here in Georgia have been in the 60’s – mid 70’s! so we play outside every day until dark time. riott loves the outdoors so much! i always have to keep an eye on him b/c if i turn away for one second, he makes his way on over to the neighbors house to play – all the way across the cul-de-sac!!! he thinks he’s such a big boy! we’ve been working a bit in the yard and he LOVES to help dig in the dirt, fill the holes with soil (and directly wipe off his hands after each hand-full), then step all over the newly planted plants… clearly, we need to work on this. below are some 4-wheelin pics of baby riott! this was his birthday present from pops and he’s finally got the hang of riding it around… now if he could just figure out how to steer.
(we’ve had many hilarious moments where riott will be 1/2 way on the 4-wheeler, or on it backwards, and accidently push the button… pulling him across the living room barely hanging on! he is such a funny little stinker)

notice: 1 wheel off the ground, 1 wheel spinning. dad was so proud!
15 months has quickly come and gone. it was a big month for baby riott too. he went to utah, had another ear infection, got his first molar (ouchie!), and we decided to night wean. it actually went a lot smoother than we expected. only a few sleepless nights… and now he sleeps every night from 10:30pm to 7:30am (where he wakes for a little breakfast and then sleeps ’til 10/10:30am!!!)! it has helped mom so much to be able to sleep a solid 8 hours! next: it’s time to moooooove him into his own little bed.
stay tuned for a video clip of riott saying his very first name (besides mom, dad, and “mammie”)… YOU’RE GONNA’ BE SO EXCITED!!!

as of yesterday, our boy is 15 MONTHS OLD. i cannot explain to you how much this irks me. i really feel like just yesterday he was sleeping propped up on his boppy… yesterday he was just making eye contact… yesterday he was finding his feet for the first time… yesterday he couldn’t roll over, much-less move across the floor… yesterday he was mad when he was stuck on his tummy… yesterday he face-planted as he tried to crawl… yesterday he took his first steps… yesterday he said his first words.
i know some of you are like “wussy! get over it! life goes on!” this is true. i guess that this is the LAST thing i was prepared for in mommyhood – how quickly it goes by. sad. okay. i’ll stop ranting. for now.
while in utah, one of the funnest times we had was nakey time! riott and clark stripped down to their dipees and tickled each other and laughed and bounced around. riott was being so silly – sticking his tummy out really far while sticking a finger in his belly button. here’s a couple of pictures of those fun moments!

party time!

look at my belly!
enjoy!
