unlike riott he:

-nurses until the milk’s gone and is done

-can be laid down to take a nap without mom having to stay in the room or nurse him down

-does not have to be bounced, moved, and shaken 24/7

-will “visit” anyone (so far) and give them an enjoyable experience with him

like riott, he:

-loves to be held, and preferably in the upright position

-has migliori gas

-wants to be in the midst of commotion all the time

-will not sleep if he thinks he might miss something important

-is SUPER ticklish. anywhere that might be a tickle spot, IS! from his toes to his neck rolls!

-is growing plumper and fluffier at the same rate. at 4 months we are weighing in at 16 POUNDS!

since he’s been able to follow anything with his eyes, he has followed his big brother. it’s insane (even as early as his second month) how much love and admiration he has for riott. now we’re already at 4 months and nothing excites him more than the blonde two-year-old who comes to play! sure he gets squished, bumped pretty hard, and poked frequently but that doesn’t matter because he gets tons of fun energy and silly faces from big brother. we can already tell they are going to be best buds!

we all love baby B so much! we can’t even remember what life was like before him (and i keep wondering what in the world i did with all of my free time). so so thankful for our littlest man.

we’re on the brink of potty training. i think i missed a window at about 21 months. he was very interested in the potty but i was too fearful to begin the process and then have a new baby come around. i didn’t want ri to spaz out and purposely pee in his pants or anything else like you hear toddlers do when a new baby comes home. and now, he’s definitely smart enough to go potty but i think i’m too lazy. the convenience of diapers is well, just so convenient. hah. but i’m sure tyler wouldn’t mind losing the cost of them. so, we’re about to make it happen. we even bought a whole new toilet seat that has 3 layers – one for adults, one for little bottoms, and the lid. it’s even a quiet close! we love it!

riott’s favorite phrase right now is “oh yes! i LOVE it!” he says this in a high-pitched voice with a huge grin on his face anytime we suggest something that he wants to do! he also picks up on EVERYTHING that we say. now it has become routine, every morning he climbs up on the bed and says, “good morning sweet mama. did you wake up!?” he says this same phrase to dad and beckham! so adorable.

he loves to dance his white boy dance. and every time he does, he accredits his teacher “karla-shaka-booty, karla-shaka-booty”. he loves anything trains (thomas, chuggington) and his favorite movies are “move it!” (aka madagascar), cars or “yightnin’ mckeen”, and “monsters” inc.

he’s learning his colors, shapes, letters, numbers (though he’s been able to count to ten since he was 22 months old), and numbers in spanish. he LOVES to color. he has ZERO patience. and he loves to play with other kids or as he says “babies”. we must see “church babies” or “mall babies” on playdates.

he is still my highstrung baby! he’s always going non-stop and he’s rarely still. just like when he was a newborn, he continues to wake up crying and moody (though this only happens about 50% of the time now) and usually the only thing that can cheer him up at any given time is “mommy kiss it” (a boo-boo) OR his favorite BABY BECKHAM!

riott loves his brother so (!!!!) much. i have never seen a child love their baby sibling more! there has been no jealousy. non-stop hugs and kisses all day long from riott to beckham!!! only one accident that really hurt beckham (riott dropped a heavy toy on him) but we calmed beckham down quickly, riott said sorry on his own, gave him kisses and everyone was just fine. and they love eachother! already! it’s amazing!!!!

we have decided that riott is a very independent child. don’t laugh. he becomes a happier person as he grows developmentally and as he is able to do more by himself, because of his decision to do it, and the way he wants to do it. he hated being a baby and relying on us for everything but he’s proved himself to be a pretty happy toddler.

we love this boy so much! he keeps us laughing, spanking, and thanking the  LORD he is in our lives!

my attention was shifted to my personal blog and facebook account thinking they were all i needed. but i now know that without updating georgiamigs, i do a shotty job of keeping up with my babies’ developmental growth! ahhh! bad mama! bad mama!!

mom is doing great! this recovery has been a breeze compared to riott’s.

riott is loving baby beckham. he kisses him NONSTOP and if ever baby B is crying, riott calls out, “Baby Beckham” real slowly… like mom does to try and sooth ’til she can get over to him. ri hasn’t shown one sign of jealousy and is increasingly enthralled with baby B. he loves his fingers, toes, eyes, and nose.

we are so blessed to have these two little boys!!!

isn’t this just the sweetest sad face you’ve ever seen?!? no i’m not always the horrible mommy that snaps photos instead of taking care of her crying baby. but in this case, ri was tantrum-ing and i was sitting right next to him with a snack and a drink… but he was unhappy nonetheless… well, for about 30 seconds in which i got some great pics.

love this little boy! even when his weather is stormy.

he loves to read to us now, instead of us reading to him. his favorites books are his bible where he points out every animal on the planet (sheep, hee-haw, pigs, fish, cows, chickens, etc.) and his No David! books. even when we’re not reading David! he’s running around yelling “No David! Trouble!”. he puts his “croc-a-doodles” (crocs) on all by himself. and loves to run around with a “naked hiney”. 

he daily gets out the swiffer and pushes it saying “mama make a mess”. he LOVES spiderman! don’t know how or why (b/c he’s never seen the show), but he does. he also loves elmo, mickey mouse, donald duck, goofy, sheep, handy manny and the tools, nemo, and CARS. he’s counting to 3 in english and spanish… or working on it. haha. and he’s getting goofier and sillier everyday. today he made up a fake laugh and did it all day long, each time fake laughing until he made himself laugh so hard for real, that he got the hiccups.

31 weeks - large and in charge.

riott's new trick. he makes his neck disappear.

riott is such a ham these days. he LOVES when he’s getting lots of attention from lots of people! even though he whispers around a group at first, within seconds he’s screaming “holy moly” or “big truck” or “good boy” or “hot dog” or “spiderman” to the point that you can’t even understand what he’s saying!! he lOves the ladies. grocery store, parking lot, mall, restaurant – it doesn’t matter where we are. if there are pretty girls there (and by girls we mean out of the “baby” range, so over 10 years old) he’s a’flirtin. he waves. he yells “name ri-T” (my name is riott) or repeats what they say. he bats his eyelashes and makes them giggle. puh-lease. must we start this already!?!?

he repeats EVERYTHING… and when i say everything i do mean e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g! regardless of if he knows the meaning or not. so we have to be very careful of what we say. he’s starting to put phrases together like “dad ni-nite” (which he says in the morning if dad put him to bed the night before) or “mornin’ dad” or “jesus prayers” (we read from his Bible every nite and then say prayers together – a routine he CANNOT do without). yesterday ty told him to kick the SOCCER ball and for the rest of the day he walked around saying “doccer ball… doccer ball, doccer ball.”

he knows there is a baby in moms tummy and though he’s not patient enough to sit and wait to feel a kick, every day he pulls my shirt up over my massive belly and kisses, hugs, and talks to the baby! he’s already such a great big brother!

he loves to be given jobs. his favorite thing is taking dirty diapers to the trash can (mom loves it too!). he helps sweep with his own broom. and we are working very hard on putting things “back” – toys, books, spilled goldfish, etc. i figure, if we can master putting things “back” then that will cut down on my clutter pickup by, well, a ton.

riott just loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (mainly b/c the characters are animals he can name throughout the show). he used to ask for “hot dog” (a song they sing every episode). but a couple of days ago he asked for micka-mukah-mic-mi-mic. hmmmm. don’t understand? i didn’t either. i just guessed “you want MICKEY MOUSE??” and ever since then he’s been saying “micka mouse, micka mouse”. on the show sometimes they try to be really quiet and tip-toe where they’re going. well, riott now gets up on his little toes and prances across the floor!! he says “tip-toe, tip toe”! such a doll!!! 

when he runs he flaps one arm up and down (gets that from his dad – haha!) and always resembles a character from charlie brown as he bobbles along.

when we change his diaper, even if it’s just pee-pee, he yells “GRO-oooSS!” with a big smile on his face. same for after he gives mom kisses! he’ll give me a big slobbery wet-one and yell “GRO-oooSS!” with that silly grin. love it. 

when he’s in trouble (which is about 75% of the day) he makes it very hard to get on to him. our very serious conversation goes something like this:

me/ty: riott. you know you’re not supposed to _______ (touch/mess with/throw, etc.) that. 

riott: that.

me/ty: you know that right? 

riott: right. 

me/ty: if you _______ (touch/mess with/throw, etc.) that again, you’re going to get a spanking.

riott: spanking.

me/ty: do you hear me?

riott: hear me.

me/ty: do you hear me – yes or no?

riott: hear me. “ace.” (which means yes)

me/ty: you will get a spanking.

riott: spanking.

(then we let him bobble on his way and usually end up having the same conversation about something else within 5 minutes.)

isn’t he just adorable. haha! how do you not laugh in the middle of that!?!? truthfully, the parent not having the very serious conversation is usually hiding under a pillow or covering their mouth because they can’t help but laugh hysterically at him!! he’s so much fun.

in other news, miggy and mom are doing great – growing bigger and bigger every day. mom has gained a whopping 31 lbs (11lbs away from riott’s pregnancy gain). miggy is moving NON-STOP and has quite the little personality. he/she loves his/her daddy and brother! our official due date is October 11th… 8 more weeks! ahhh!

ty is STILL waiting to hear about a possible job with the fire department. we love waiting. just love it. not. still, it’s better than not having any options.

he’s been changing every single day. he can now climb up on all the furniture INCLUDING our extremely tall kitchen chairs and table. nothing is safe. nowhere is out of his reach. we are running non-stop to keep him from destroying everything and killing himself! hah. he now says “boo-boo. hurt”… which sounds like “bu-boo. hut.” and he repeats everything. including 2-word phrases. yesterday we were at the store and he tried to stand in the shopping cart seat. i told him sternly to “sit down.” for the next 20 minutes he entertained himself with mocking me: “SIT down. sit DOWN. SiT dOWn. siiit doooown.” it was hilarious! he’s such a hoot!!

riott is pretty much repeating EVERYTHING mom and dad say! our favorites are “holy moly!” which sounds like “moly moly”… “air plane” sounds like “eh-cane”… “milk” sounds like “muk”… “clark” sounds like “cah-k” (which is every child we see INCLUDING pictures of himself)… “motorcycle” sounds like “cutah cutah”…”fried rice” sounds like “ri rice”…”hold you” (or hold him) sounds like “hull-do” …and so much more! we’re trying to take as much video as we can so we don’t forget these precious days that are simply flying by too quickly! to say the least it’s making me quite excited for the next baby(/ies).

little ri is just that – little. he is a whole head shorter than his buddies that are the same age and he still only weighs 21.4lbs though he eats like a maniac. he is quite the picky eater though (thank you tyler) and sticks with his favorites of cheese, rice, eggs, crackers, cookies, cake, strawberries, pears, french fries, and chips and salsa (oh yes! he loves salsa!). if he’s seen us dip it (ie french fries, chips, chicken, etc) he must also dip it – or “beck” it, as he says (we have NO idea where he got “beck” from). he loves to put things “back” – including the cap on water bottles. he’s already telling me when he has a dirty or full “di-ter” and he LOVES to flush the “pah-D”… yay! does that mean i can potty train!?! 

so much has changed even in the past month! and i’ll try try TRY to do better about updating!
