we had so much fun in utah! however as we traveled home we realized riott had caught a cough. the cough is now gone but progressed into a virus that caused a very sore little throat… which in turn led to, yes again, a double ear infection. we went to the doctor yesterday who gave us the confirmation on the sad news. so we started the antibiotics yesterday, and have since had: 6 diarrhea diapers (poor bum), and 4 bouts of vomiting. little ri is so sick his eyes are red with circles underneath, he wakes up all night screaming in pain and calling for “da da”, and he won’t eat anything because he knows it will make him sick again. ugh.
unfortunately we think the ear infection thing is hereditary. though i was in preschool and riott is not, i had chronic ear infections when i was a baby and had to have tubes put in my ears. we can pretty much bank on riott getting an ear infection every time he gets sick for a couple of years. even the smallest head cold will cause problems with his ears. poor baby.
hopefully things will get better shortly. we’ll keep you posted. for now, send a little prayer up every now and then for our sick, sick boy.

Oh, I am so sorry! It was so much fun to have you here though. We miss you already. I hope little Riott gets feeling better soon. Our prayers are with you as always. Love you guys.
