welp. it came and it went – extremely fast, might i add. riott’s very first birthday and first birthday party. we had so much fun with the fire pit and s’more making, boiled p’nuts, nachos, fried pickles, hotdogs with slaw – cheese – chili – onions, etc., lots of birthday cake, hot chocolate, and apple cider. riott did what every 1 year old does during present time… play with everything but the presents! we decorated with streamers, latex balloons, boxes of tissue, and helium filled balloons.
the grandest part of the evening was cake smashing time. GRAMMIE OUT-DID HERSELF (again) with an immaculate cake for baby riott. it was three cake boxes – that were “presents”. once he tried to touch the candle, grammie took off the box tops and the “presents” were filled with whipped cream and puddings so that baby riott could have so much fun making a mess! and make a mess he did! there was whipped cream flying everywhere – even on our guests! from there we went straight to the bathtub – which was full of floaties by the time we got done… and changed into night jammies.
we had SO much fun with our closest friends and family!
