we are ONE WEEK away from having a 1 year old. insane i tell you. riott is getting crazier every day. here’s some updates.

-he’s just barely getting over his THIRD sickness this fall. the first caused an ear infection. the second was really just a runny nose and not feeling good. and the third was an insanely sore throat (you could hear the pain) and tons of congested coughing. whew. i hope this is the last of our nastiness (yea right).

-riott pretty much walks 75% of the time. he loves to toddle around. he loves to step on everything (including live puppies). and he loves to kick stuff. haha.

-he loves to clap his hands and dance!!! (maybe he’ll have more rhythm than mom or dad)

-another favorite toy is the steering wheel. he knows exactly where the windshield wipers turn on, exactly where the blinker is and how to turn the stereo volume up and down – mainly up. everytime he gets in front of a steering wheel he giggles and talks to himself like such a big boy. he loves to turn it and suck on it. obsession with cars already? i think so. thanks dad.

-riott’s newfound love is pulling tissues out of the tissue box. so i bought him his very own box and he pulls every one out and we just load them back in for next time. honestly all he needs is a box to crawl in, some tissues, a balloon, and a straw. okay, and maybe the occasional truck to push around.

-his current words are. mama, dada, uh oh (or most recently just “uh”), and no (which sounds a bit like “nah”) and he signs “milk” (with two hands might i add) and “no”, he waves “bye, bye”, and he points to everything he likes and wants

-riott’s favorite game is – let’s try to get mom’s cell phone. b/c he destroyed my last one with his slobber, i always put the new one up, what i think is out of his reach… but sometimes when he can reach it, he’ll put his hand on it and then look at me with this $h*t-grin (grammie word) until i see that he has it… and he’ll laugh like he’s gotten away with something.
