hellooo everybody. and welcome back from an eventful 4TH OF JULY – HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
i’m a little behind. forgive me. but we had a great time here in georgia! first we slept in, then we went to a cookout with some friends (vicki, david, and baby darren), only to visit the oh-so-uneventful atlanta inboard to say “hey” to grammie, went to the houseboat for an afternoon swim and to see vivi, stephen, cousin & paul, and finally made our way to chateau elan to watch fireworks.
riott’s second day in the water was just as much fun as the first! he LOVES to go swimmin’! and even more than that he loves swimmin’ with him’s daddy! he would splash so hard that his face was COVERED in water (so was tyler’s) and he’d just keep splish-splashing away – with eyes tightly shut!
every time a boat went by – especially the ones with loud engines – he stopped whatever he was doing and watched the boat until it was out of sight. who’s his dad again?! he spent the afternoon chillin’ in his floatie with his shades.
when we finally got to chateau elan we weren’t able to sit with the family b/c the area they were at was completely covered in ants. ouch! so we made our way to the fluffy front entrance grass that surprisingly, no one had yet claimed! there we sat with our little family and sully and kendall. now for the BIG news – riott didn’t cry for the fireworks! in fact, he LOVED them. he was mesmerized; only to have his attention broken by passing motorcycles (need I say again, who’s his daddy?).
we had so much fun! when we got home we played with sparklers!!! then, we crashed. ahhh. a happy holiday it was.

Ahh, the pictures I’ve been longing for. I love them. You had a much more eventful day than we did. Zach did productive stuff, I took a lot of the day to bake a pie and then we went to a cookout where my pie won my first place. This is not a big deal, except that it was my first real pie ever. EVER!
I’m excited to see you guys at the end of the month. Woo-hoo!
can i just say… look at the crab on the float in the sunglasses pic. isn’t he adorable!!! hahah! it’s like he’s saying, “me! get a pictue of me!” ah ahahahah.
